Gathering the faithful in prayerful anticipation of Christmas, Cebu Archbishop Alberto “Abet” Uy presides over the Sixth Day of Misa de Gallo at Sto. Niño Quasi-Parish in Nailon, City of Bogo, Cebu.
Rooting his reflection on the name Emmanuel—“God is with us”—the good Archbishop reminded the faithful not to be anxious, for Jesus sets all things in their proper place. What is asked of us, he said, is to place our complete trust in Him.
As the celebration of Christ’s birth draws near, he urged the faithful to hold close in mind and heart that when we have everything but Christ, we have nothing. But, even when we feel we have nothing, as long as we have Jesus, we already have everything.
Tomorrow, December 22, Archbishop Abet will preside over the Seventh Day of Misa de Gallo at Virgen de los Remedios Parish in Odlot, City of Bogo, Cebu.
