Before the light of dawn breaks over Northern Cebu, the faithful of Our Lady of the Visitation Parish in Bagay, Daanbantayan come together in prayer for the Fourth Day of Misa de Gallo, presided over by Cebu Archbishop Alberto “Abet” Uy.
Drawing inspiration from the story of Zechariah and Elizabeth, the Archbishop reminded the faithful that God is never late. He answers prayers and fulfills the deepest desires of the heart in His perfect time, always for our greater good.
Even in moments when God seems silent, he urged the faithful to persevere in faith, trusting that beneath the quiet, God is at work, unfolding His wonders in each of our lives.
“Kon ugaling naa moy gipangayo sa Ginoo unya wa pa niya gihatag ninyo, pagpabilin nga masaligon. Kon atong gipangayo makaayo nato, ihatag gyod sa Diyos, in His time. God’s timing is the perfect timing. His timing is never late. Believe it,” he said.
Tomorrow, December 20, the good Archbishop will preside over the Fifth Day of Misa de Gallo at St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish in Kawit, Medellin, Cebu.
