To conclude the Month of the Holy Rosary, the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cebu invites the faithful to join the Virtual Living Rosary on Saturday, October 31, at 6:00 p.m.
Anchored on this year’s pastoral theme, “Listening Church,” the gathering encourages participants to open their hearts to God’s voice, to one another, and to the needs of others. Inspired by the Blessed Virgin Mary, who faithfully listened to and embraced God’s will, the faithful are invited to grow in faith, humility, and love through prayer.
Cebu Archbishop Alberto “Abet” S. Uy will open the Virtual Living Rosary with a brief reflection. The five Joyful Mysteries will be prayed through the voices of different communities across the Archdiocese of Cebu, bringing together their faith, struggles, hopes, and thanksgiving in the Virtual Living Rosary.
Fisherfolk from San Isidro Labrador Parish in Doong, Bantayan Island, will lead the First Joyful Mystery, while members of the fishing community of San Roque Parish in Consuelo, Camotes Island, will lead the Second. Farmers from San Isidro Labrador Parish in Mantalongon, Dalaguete, will guide the Third Joyful Mystery, followed by survivors of the Binaliw landslide through San Pedro Calungsod Parish in Pulangbato, Cebu City, for the Fourth. The Fifth Joyful Mystery will be led by candle vendors from the National Shrine of St. Joseph in Mandaue City.
Though participants will be gathered in different places, the Virtual Living Rosary seeks to unite the faithful as one community in prayer while filling the digital space with grace, communion, and hope.
